The Indian laburnum tree, scientifically known as Cassia Fistula, is a flowering tree native to the tropical and subtropical regions of Asia. It is especially widespread in countries like India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Malaysia, valued for its striking flowers and fruits as well as its medicinal use.

Growth and Appearance
It is a medium to large-sized tree that can reach heights of up to 10-20 meters. It is characterized by its sprawling, broad crown and smooth, gray bark. The leaves are compound and appear in a deep green, with each leaf having several oval to lanceolate leaflets. The flowers of the Indian laburnum are notably yellow and hang in long, drooping clusters from the branches. The fruits are elongated, hanging pods that turn brown when ripe.
