Zinnia

Zinnias prefer a full-sun, warm, and airy location. They are susceptible to frost and grow best in warm, rather dry summer climates.

The soil should be loose, humus-rich to sandy, and well-drained. A neutral to slightly alkaline pH value between about 6.0 and 7.5 is ideal; regular but not excessive watering is preferred, and waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as an annual summer flower (sometimes a short-lived perennial in warm regions) and usually reaches 20 cm to 1 meter in height, depending on the variety. It is primarily valued for its large, colorful flowers in many hues.
