Wormwood

Wormwood prefers a sunny to semi-shady, warm, and rather dry location. It is very robust and well heat-tolerant.

The soil should be loose, nutrient-rich, and well-draining. A neutral to slightly alkaline pH value (approx. 6.0–7.5) is ideal. The plant also copes well with drier conditions; waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as an annual to short-lived perennial and usually reaches 30 to 100 cm in height. It is particularly valued for its traditional use as a medicinal and culinary herb.
