Veitchia palm

The Veitchia, also known as the Christmas Palm, prefers a full sun to partial shade, warm, and frost-free location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It requires regular watering, with the soil kept consistently moist but well-drained.

An ideal soil is rich in humus, loose, and well-drained, with a slightly acidic to neutral pH of approximately 6.0 to 7.0. Regular nutrient supply promotes healthy growth and vibrant leaf coloration.

The palm produces decorative red fruits that are particularly noticeable around Christmas time. It typically reaches a height of about 4 to 8 meters and grows as an elegant, slender single-trunk palm with a compact crown.
