Purple Waffle Plant

The Purple Waffle Plant prefers a semi-shady to shady, warm, and very sheltered location with high humidity. It requires regular but moderate watering, with the soil kept consistently moist but never waterlogged.

An ideal soil is humus-rich, loose, and well-draining, with a slightly acidic to neutral pH of about 5.5 to 6.5. High humidity promotes intense leaf coloration and compact growth.

The plant does not produce edible fruits, but rather small, inconspicuous flowers, and is cultivated primarily for its decorative, purple-green foliage. It usually reaches a height of about 10 to 20 cm and grows as a creeping to slightly trailing ground cover.
