Grapefruit

The pomelo prefers a sunny, warm, and sheltered location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and requires consistently high temperatures.

The soil should be rich in humus, loose, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal, regular moisture is preferred, but waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as an evergreen tree and usually reaches 5 to 15 meters in height. It typically bears its first fruits after about 4 to 6 years under good conditions.
