Oregano

Oregano prefers a full sun, warm, and rather dry location. It is very robust, heat-tolerant, and quite frost-hardy.

The soil should be loose, sandy to stony, and well-drained. A neutral to slightly alkaline pH value (approx. 6.0–7.5) is ideal. Waterlogging should be avoided at all costs.

The plant grows as a low-growing perennial and usually reaches 20 to 60 cm in height.
It is mainly valued as a culinary and medicinal herb for its aromatic leaves.
