Oiti

The oiti prefers a sunny to partially shaded, warm location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It requires regular watering, especially during the establishment phase, but later tolerates short dry periods well.

An ideal soil is deep, humus-rich, and well-draining, with a slightly acidic to neutral pH of about 5.5 to 7.0. Waterlogging should be avoided, as the roots can be sensitive to it.

The plant produces small fruits that are not relevant for human use and is primarily used as an ornamental and shade tree. It usually reaches a height of about 10 to 20 meters and grows as an evergreen tree with a dense, rounded crown.
