Mulberry
(Mulberry)
The mulberry
prefers a sunny location in a temperate to subtropical climate. Depending on the species, it is quite frost-tolerant and very adaptable.
The soil should be loose, humous, and well-drained. A neutral to slightly alkaline pH value between about 6.0 and 7.5 is ideal; waterlogging should be avoided, and drought is relatively well tolerated.
The plant grows as a shrub or tree and usually reaches 3 to 10 meters in height. It typically bears its first fruit after about 2 to 4 years under good conditions.
