Mulberry

Mulberries prefer a sunny location in a temperate to subtropical climate. Depending on the species, they are well frost-tolerant and very adaptable.

The soil should be loose, humus-rich, and well-drained. A neutral to slightly alkaline pH value between approximately 6.0 and 7.5 is ideal; waterlogging should be avoided, and drought is tolerated relatively well.

The plant grows as a shrub or tree and usually reaches 3 to 10 meters in height. It typically bears its first fruits after about 2 to 4 years under good conditions.
