King Granadilla

The Giant Granadilla prefers a sunny to semi-shady, warm, and very sheltered location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and requires stable, high temperatures as well as a climbing aid.

The soil should be humous, loose, and well-drained. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal; consistent moisture is preferred, and waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a vigorous climbing vine and can develop shoots several meters long. It typically bears its first fruits after about 1.5 to 3 years under good conditions.
