Nasturtium

Nasturtiums prefer a sunny to semi-shady location with warm temperatures. They require regular watering, with the soil kept consistently moist but well-draining.

An ideal soil is loose, well-draining, and rather nutrient-poor to moderately fertile, with a pH value of about 6.0 to 7.5. Overly nutrient-rich soils promote leaf growth at the expense of flower development.

The edible leaves, flowers, and young seeds with their spicy, pungent taste are used. Depending on the variety, the plant reaches a height of about 20 to 300 cm and grows bushy or vining with a long flowering period.
