Jasmin Carolina

The Carolina Jasmine prefers a sunny to semi-shady, warm, and sheltered location in a subtropical to mild tropical climate. It is relatively frost-tolerant and can withstand short cold spells but grows best in mild regions.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-drained. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal; regular moisture is preferred, but waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as an evergreen, strongly vining climber and can reach several meters in height. All parts of the plant are highly poisonous, but it is primarily valued for its bright yellow, highly fragrant flowers.
