Jambos apple

The rose apple prefers a sunny to semi-shady, warm and sheltered location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and requires consistent warmth.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal, regular moisture is preferred, but waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a small to medium-sized tree and usually reaches a height of 3 to 10 meters. It typically bears its first fruits after about 3 to 5 years under good conditions.
