Green Lapacho

The Green Lapacho prefers a full sun, warm location in tropical to subtropical climates. Once established, it requires only moderate watering and tolerates dry periods well, but should not stand in permanently wet soil.

Ideally, the soil should be well-drained, sandy to loamy, with a slightly acidic to neutral pH of about 5.5 to 7.0. The species is robust and grows reliably even in less fertile locations.

The tree is particularly known for its striking yellow flowers, which appear in large numbers during the flowering season. It usually reaches a height of about 5 to 12 meters and develops an elegant, open crown with high ornamental value.
