Golden Plum

The Imbe prefers a sunny, warm, and sheltered location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and requires consistently high temperatures.

The soil should be deep, rich in humus, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 7.0 is ideal, regular moisture is preferred, but waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a tree and usually reaches 10 to 20 meters in height. It typically bears its first fruits after about 3 to 5 years under good conditions.
