Dracaena tree

The Dragon Tree prefers a sunny to semi-shady, warm, and wind-protected location. It is very drought-tolerant and frost-sensitive.

The soil should be well-drained, sandy to stony, and rather poor in nutrients. A neutral to slightly acidic pH value of approximately 6.0 to 7.5 is ideal; waterlogging is not tolerated.

The plant grows very slowly and can reach a height of 5 to 15 meters over many decades. It does not produce classic fruits but develops flower stalks and then seeds after many years.
