African Marigold

The marigold prefers a sunny, warm location with good air circulation. It requires regular watering, with the soil remaining consistently moist but well-drained.

Ideal conditions include loose, humus-rich, and moderately fertile soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH of approximately 5.5 to 7.0. Waterlogging should be avoided as it can cause root problems.

The plant does not produce edible fruits but rather large, typically yellow to orange flower heads. Depending on the variety, it reaches a height of about 30 to 100 cm and grows as an upright, bushy ornamental plant.
