Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera prefers a very sunny, warm location and tolerates direct midday sun well. It is not frost-hardy and should be protected in winter or kept indoors in a bright spot.

The soil should be very well-drained and rather sandy to mineral to prevent waterlogging. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 6.0 and 7.0 is ideal.

The plant usually grows 30 to 60 cm tall and forms a rosette. It only produces flowers and occasionally fruits after several years under very good conditions, but this is rather rare in cultivation.
